Report of Workshop on Social Welfare, Disaster Prevention and Relief
On Friday, February 9, 2018, Workshop on Social Welfare, Disaster Prevention and Relief for international students was held. Eight students from Yonezawa and Kojirakawa Campus attended this event.
In Social Welfare lecture, Mr. Makoto Ayabe, Associate Professor of MOT Department, explained about Japanese child rearing, social welfare system, caring of the elderly people, etc. Furthermore, Mr. Ayabe advised international students to have broad perspective not only towards Japanese companies but also Japanese society.
In Disaster Management lecture, Mr. Sakuma, staff of Yonezawa City Crisis Management Office, explained various natural disasters occurring in Japan. International students have learned the importance of having knowledge concerning disaster and getting prepare for the disasters that suddenly come.
